Testimonials

I attended my first Vegan Festival in 2015 and haven’t missed one since. This festival offers so much to the vegan and broader community of Adelaide. It showcases the diversity and complexity of vegan food, supports small local business and brings a world class, zero waste festival to our beautiful city.
While I have thoroughly enjoyed the one day Vegan Picnics held in recent years, I am delighted to see the return of the two day format, as it gives the festival so much more depth and scope. I’m looking forward to the informative and entertaining cooking demonstrations, wisdom and insights from animal rights activists and the opportunity to share the joys of embracing a compassionate plant based lifestyle with my community.
I cannot recommend this festival enough and am eagerly anticipating a wonderful weekend in the sunshine on the 7th and 8th of December. Come and join us!
- Mim

"I had the honour of speaking at the Vegan Festival Adelaide back in 2016, and I will tell you, I've been to a lot of vegan festivals in my lifetime but it was by far, hands down, the best vegan festival I've ever been to. There's great food and drinks and music and fantastic speakers and inspiring talks. I just know you guys are going to love it and I really hope that someday I get to return to Vegan Festival Adelaide, but until then I hope you guys have the best time. Cheers. Go Vegan!"
- Leilani Münter, Former race driver. Environmentalist. Vegan. Documentary filmmaker with OPS.

“Lea McBride’s testament to event management is stamped clearly in the success of all events organised by her company. Detailed, thorough and meticulously organised with thoughtful consideration in all aspects of event planning. We were honoured and lucky to launch our business at her popular vegan festival in 2017 held in Victoria square; from which our business soared from strength to strength. The exposure at her events that we received over the following year contributed to the successful opening of our brick and mortar store in the city. Her involvement in the community and networking with local businesses is driven by her inspiring and unmistakable determination and passion for a kinder world for all who walk through it.”
- Anastasia Lavrentiadis, 2020

“The Adelaide Vegan was a real highlight of my 2019. I've spoken at many events now and never seen one that ran so smoothly and efficiently. Communication with the organisers was first class and they bent over backwards to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I had so much fun meeting everyone at the VIP breakfast and the post festival drinks, I really felt like part of a tight knit team after only two days together. I really couldn't recommend this event more highly to anyone who wants to have a great time while sharing an important message.”
- Andy “SpudFit” Taylor, 2020

“We just wanted to say a massive thank you for having us at Vegan Fest 2021! We had an absolute blast. Everyone was so welcoming and the event was organised amazingly without any hiccups at all. Thank you for making our Adelaide debut one that we will remember for the rest of time. Myself and the El Gringos team can’t wait to do it all again with you legends real soon! Peace. Love. Tofu Tacos.”
- Mark Polst, El Gringos (Chef/Owner) and Zelorage (Drummer/Manager)

“THANK YOU for the amazing work and opportunities you have created by putting on Vegan Festival Adelaide 2021. House of Enz loved being a part of this community - it's so beautiful to see people coming out to celebrate the planet, the animals and humanity. The food is always AMAZING and what a great way to explore and discover the many small businesses showing their goods and services. The festival must be such an important event for ethical entrepreneurs to connect with and be discovered by this growing movement.. The speaking events and entertainment, as always, were brilliant - well done in managing a safe, entertaining and educational festival within the constraints of COVID-19. Thank you Lea and team - well done
- Damian Jolly, House of Enz Band

"In a time when local artists are losing their opportunities to present new, creative compositions to an appreciative festival audience, Vegan Festival Adelaide provides the perfect space for South Australian musicians to perform their new works, find new followers and sell their albums. It gives us excellent exposure with national opportunities gained from Vegan Festival Adelaide's outstanding reputation as the best festival in Australia for vegan food, culture and arts."
- Padma Ciel, Singer-Songwriter

“Big thanks to Vegan Festival for hosting our vegan van.  As a 100% vegan business, joining this big event is the best thing for us. We are looking forward to doing the Vegan Festival every year”
- Bonnie’s Vegan Van

“Thanks for having us again this year and allowing a payment plan we wouldn’t have been able to attend otherwise.  We had a great time and it was our most successful vegan festival selling out of almost everything. The shop seems to be picking up too.”
